    • Cities: Casual, stylish clothing.

    • Religious Sites: Modest dress is required (shoulders and knees covered). Women should carry a light scarf for head-covering in Mosques.

    • Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes are a must for the cobblestone streets of Istanbul and the uneven terrain of ancient ruins.

  • The "Golden Window" is during Spring (April–May) and Autumn (September–October). During these months, the weather is mild - perfect for exploring ruins in Ephesus or hiking in Cappadocia.

    • Summer (June–August): Ideal for the Turquoise Coast beaches, though central regions like Istanbul can get quite hot.

    • Winter (November–March): Great for skiing or enjoying a quiet, crowd-free Istanbul, though some coastal resorts may close.

  • Many nationalities (including UK, USA, and most EU citizens) can visit for up to 90 days within a 180-day period without a visa for tourism. However, requirements change. Always check the official Turkish e-Visa website or your local consulate 60-days before departure.

    Is travel insurance mandatory?

    While not always a legal requirement for entry, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Ensure your policy covers medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and specific activities like hot air ballooning in Cappadocia.

  • Yes. Most hotels, cafes, and restaurants offer free Wi-Fi. For constant connectivity, we recommend purchasing a local pre-paid SIM card (Turkcell or Vodafone) upon arrival at the airport, or renting a portable "Mobile Hotspot."

    There’s also a selection of e-sim apps that you can download and install before you travel.

  • The local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY).

    • Cards: Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted in cities, hotels, and restaurants.

    • Cash: It is wise to carry some cash for smaller shops, local markets (bazaars), and tips. ATMs are plentiful in urban areas.

  • Türkiye is generally very safe for travellers. Like any major destination, keep an eye on your belongings in crowded areas (like the Grand Bazaar). We monitor local travel advisories daily and will adjust itineraries if any specific regions face safety concerns.

    • Shoes: Always remove your shoes when entering a private home or a Mosque.

    • Greetings: A firm handshake is common. It is also polite to learn a few basic phrases like Merhaba (Hello) and Teşekkür ederim (Thank you).

    • Photography: Always ask permission before taking photos of locals, and never photograph military or security personel.

  • Of course you can! The weather can reach up to the high 40s and dressing comfortably is essential. However, it is customary to dress appropriately when entering religious sites. Some of these places provide necessary attire if needed.
